What is a Self Healing Mindset?

With the growth mindset topic flourishing in popularity, I began asking myself, ‘how does a growth mindset apply to the body?’


The answer: discovering the opportunity to heal differently, the capacity is upheld in your beliefs, offering an opportunity to change and align your mind body and soul.


A self healing mindset is an exploration of your beliefs and/or limiting beliefs to discover the capability of what your body can do to heal. It’s the capacity, or glass ceiling, in which you believe this container to be true.


Through growing up and development we learn stories from our parents, school, and our environment to be what is true. And it’s a lot of stories that we’ve heard throughout life. And through the stories that we’ve learned, has anyone ever challenged, or questioned why we believe the things we do. A story that is not often told is that the human body has the capability of healing itself. One of the limiting factors that disable this capacity is that we do not believe or think that this could be true. I want to challenge this belief and offer and opportunity to learn what you want in order to heal.


You cannot heal what yo do not understand. Knowing the human anatomy has helped me enlighten my wisdom of what the human body capacity is capable of. Can there be limiting factors? Yes. Can there be limiting beliefs which exacerbate the limiting factors? YES! What coaching can do is help someone gain clarity in asking a question they are seeking differently.


For example, the difference between, ‘Can you tell me what’s wrong with my body? It hurts!,’ and ‘I have questions with what hurts in my body. Can you help me understand the difference between what’s normal (expected) and what’s not?’


As a receiver of the first statement, the honest is on the practitioner (other) to decipher and ‘tell’ the client the solution. The second statement is an opportunity to learn and gain incite for the client to choose what to change based on the difference in experiences.


A self-healing mindset is a choice and an opportunity to have a future self different than the current self.
